I implore you to take a vacation and spend time at each spot.Debating this as we approach "empty nesters". We live on the water now, and have spent a fair amount of time in AZ, and have realized, we would miss the ocean too much. Leaning to the west coast of FL.
What part?Englewood to be a exact.
Pick your poison.
What part?
forget NV, they are democrat now.I implore you to take a vacation and spend time at each spot.
Hurricanes are no joke and humidity sucks. Being close to the ocean is epic, though.
Being landlocked and having blazing hotass summers sucks. Having badass lakes you can live on/next to is killer though.
Both states have pros/cons and after spending significant time in both, i’d lean toward AZ. Experiencing a small hurricane is where i draw the line. **** that crazy shit.
Im in a similar position as im bailing Cali in the near future and taking my republican ass to either AZ, TX, or Nevada.
LOLSummertime in Florida can best be described as climbing into a clothes dryer halfway through the cycle then filling it with mosquitos.
gotta hit the lake my friend !I live in AZ outside of Phoenix, it's a great state especially in the winter. In the summer AZ is the most miserable place on earth, I pretty much park my GT500 all summer long. The car scene is decent and the highways are wide open. But I'd rather live in Florida.
I implore you to take a vacation and spend time at each spot.
100% this. @Corbic Visit each location in the summer. For AZ, early august. Whenever its the most miserable in FL summer, visit then. Anyone can come to Phoenix from October to April and love it. Its a whole new experience when its 100+ during the day AND night. Electric bills in the summer are something to be taken into consideration.I implore you to take a vacation and spend time at each spot.

Good advice. However I may only have a few weeks to decide, so it's not like I can take extended vacations and what not.100% this. @Corbic Visit each location in the summer. For AZ, early august. I absolutely love it here, stupid heat and everything. Flagstaff is a 2 hour drive North for beautiful weather to escape the heat. 5-6 hours to visit the Ocean if needed.
Honestly, the heat isnt so bad if you dont have to work in it. If your career is outdoors or in a shop, carefully consider the decision.
Ill say that the Phoenix Metro area has had an influx of businesses and the housing market and construction of new homes and offices is ACTIVE. I get the feeling that Phoenix is well diversified now than it was back in 2008. Im currently employed with ADOT now and they have gone on a hiring spree. They are gearing up for a lot of projects around the state to help expand support and infrastructure for the growing population.Good advice. Also, I've been two Miami twice, Tampa once and Orlando twice. I hate Orlando and had tons of fun in the others.
That's the problem witch Vacations, it's not actual six months of daily grind and living.
I've been to Phx prolly 30 times at all points in the year of except for those 115 days. Worst I've had is 105, went hiking in Tuscon when it was 103. Loved it, can't say enough about "dry heat", just drink gallons of water.
Came back to Michigan when it was 86 and about died. Humidity sucks.
My issue with Florida is bugs, feeling cut off from the rest of the world and my perception of a lack of out door activities beside boating/beaching.
Phx fears are the rising threat of turning blue, lack of water access and will the brown wear me out.
I have a perception the job market is better in Phx, but I recall they got slaughtered hard in 2008.

yep. Awesome dirt bike riding and OHV land. I'll be 20 min from lake pleasant. and 2 hours to prescott. 4 hours to mexico beach and 4 hours to vegas.Only been to each in winter and on vacation but the vast amount of federal land available for public use is what would sway me to Arizona.
We have friends in Scottsdale and my in-laws winter in Lake Havasu City. To be able to just drive off the road for some trail running or to shoot would be like heaven for me. It's not the Gulf but a lot of boating fun is had on Lake Pleasant as well.
PHX has awesome flights. Real easy to get to Hawaii.Basically take a flight from AZ straight to Tampa.
