Having owned many vettes (C5z, C6z, C6ZR1, C7z) over the years and now owning the C7z with 3lz A8, I will tell you I have ZERO regrets. It's by far the best vette I have ever owned. The c6Zr1 was great too but the interior really let the c6 down. For that kind of money the inside of the car should be important. With very minimal mods you will have a car pushing over 700RWHP and 750RWTQ. Mid 9 second 1/4 mile capable and incredibly stable. The interior is EXCELLENT with the 3lz option. When I say excellent keep in mind that my daily is an audi RS7. I love my A8. It's not as good as the trans in my Audi but it's close. In track mode it holds gears and acts a fool, in touring mode it rides like a Cadillac. It never goes over 2k RPM unless your trying. It's a very well designed car and for the money I can't think of ANYTHING that comes even close to it...and if I did I would trade it in and get one! LOL. The car looks menacing. Especially with the Z07 package. Yes, there are a few on the road and they don't feel exotic like a viper would but the creature comforts alone blow the viper out of the water. I drove a 2014 Viper back to back with my Z and IMO it wasn't even a close battle. The viper has a very heavy clutch, tight pedals, small cockpit and odd sound. I still love the Viper though. Give me the ACR Voodoo Viper and i'll give you my wife, kids, cars, house...haha. The heat issues are mostly nonsense. Unless your tracking it hard you will never see them show. And if for some reason you do see them the aftermarket has tons of options. That being said they did do some huge cooling upgrades for 2017 and later models. I have yet to meet a c7z owner in regret. I would strongly urge you to get a 17 or later model fully loaded 3lz with the A8. They are VERY well priced at this point. You will literally pay about half of MSRP and almost all of them have no miles. Let me know if you have any questions.
