just picked up the Trans

I also found out that the cobra and viper have basically the same gear pack :dw: ....so I guess the Cobra trans is good for 550lb.-ft.

Doug or Rick will have to answer that one...

it took a little while for mine but the price was right! ;-)

next we'll see if I can bust an Amazon Racing halfshaft with a Spec 3 & 315 Nittos...... if that goes well, I'll try slicks :rolling:

I'm not being coy, it's just that I don't know what retail price will be

all you really need is a 26 spline disc but I decided to go ahead and change it all, including flywheel

Sounds like a nice setup JB. Let us know how it works on the track.

Now, why again didn't Ford do this? Oh yeah! I'd make to much god damn sense.

The Halfshafts I can deal with, but the Input shaft scares the crap outta me. Might have to end up doing that over the winter.

Dougwg did you just change the input shaft to the Viper input?

We used to change input shafts on the ford toploader 4 speeds, eithe rto the the large big block input and first gear, or to the chrysler 26 spline input pattern with a Liberty (I think) input shaft.

I've been thinking this may be possible. What all was involved?

its not that easy from what I hear. Not a matter of swapping the input shaft only

You pretty much have to swap to a viper spec t56

What?

Yes, it is as easy as swaping the input shaft!

No, you don't need to buy a $3000.00 Viper trans.

Great. The input shaft is what I am most worried about with the KB. That is much better then having to buy an entire viper T-56 to fix the problem.

I (BilletFlow) am not the one doing this.....nor will I be selling it.

I just know the people that can do this and I'm helping to make it happen for all you Cobra guys.

And yes, I'm not making a dime off this.... and yes, I am that nice of a guy. :p

Gord,

When it's done they will have inputs ready to drop in, then all you need is a 26 spline clutch disk!

Whats a "Liberty's input" ,,,, you mean Libert'y Gear the makers of the Fastest, Strongest, Best Built, clutchless shift tran in the world? hehe

By the way I can hit Liberty's shop with a rock from my shop.

Agreed, and the whole reason why we're doing it this way.
