Anybody ever done this swap on an older (2007) F150? When this turd 3V shits the bed, I'm wondering if it's possible to replace it with a newer 5.0?

No direct experience but it shouldn't be to bad.

You'll have to research the 4.6 -> Coyote swaps.

The biggest hurdle will be wiring in the new ECU and dealing with the Power Steering. Coyote vehicles use an electric power steering rack.

There are adapters to retrofit a PS Pump to a Coyote.

Mounts and Transmission should all be the same. It's one of those "on-paper it's easy" swaps that will likely nickel & dime you to death.

OK - thanks for the input. Hopefully, I'll get rid of this thing before it grenades. But if/when it happens, I may have to just replace the engine, depending on my financial situation.
