My story, I started my Scottrade account several years ago with $500. In the past 3 years I've let it get to about $1500, I pull $500 out and do it again. Over 3 years or so I've done this 3-4 times. I never make big big money because I don't invest big big money. (That is what my 401K is for) This is a fun hobby with the hopes of picking a big winner one day. So I play alot of penny stocks. Most who know will tell you with pennies that you can do well or you can LOSE it all quick. They are in penny land for a reason, most barely have capital to stay afloat. Because of that I live by three rules. 1. Watch it close 2. Don't invest much 3. take profits. If you inves $200 and it doubles at least take your original $200 back and leave the rest and ride on free money. Most times I take it all so hitting the big one may never happen for me. Study your picks and never chase a stock. I learned this the hard way many many times. I'm just now getting to the point where I'm getting decent at picks. I do play P&Ds, (Pump and Dumps) they key is get in early , take any profit and get out quick. So, OK, We all know from the other thread about CBIS, I think it will continue to grow until FDA approval and/or they are bought out by a bigger fish. My target is $1 in a year or so and possibly $3 in the long term. Other than that I have and am LONG on ATIG, ATIG is a small internet gaming company. The key is they work with the indian reservation casinos providing the service of linking them. We all know that online gaming for money (IE; Poker) has been shut down by the gov. There appears to be a loophole in the law that makes indian reservations immune to this. Their goal is to create a online network where you can play (Many different games) at or through the indian reservation network systems. If this works it will take off IMO. I have 170,000 shares at a .0026 average. It is down a little now but swings up to .0034 often. I don't take profits on this one. Next is BONZ Small gold mining company, they just blew their wad on buying up more land. They need financing to get it going. Their new CEO is a pro at this from what I gather so I'm betting on it. It is a long shot but is up a bit right now. I'm in 10,000 shares at a .025 avg. I was in GEAR and plan on getting back in at the bottom, This was a golf equipment maker that totally switched dirrections and went into mining. lol I also have another health care pick, GNTA. They also are working on cancer treatments. Even with new news it is still a little down at the moment so if you like it now is a good time. I'm in 10,000 at a .0025 avg so this one is cheap. BFHJ. Appears to be a P&D. not sure why but without much research I jumped in. lol (Sometimes you just got to go with the gut) I'm in 500,000 at .0002 so I'm doubled at the moment and need to follow my own advice and GTFO. Last is PSPF, Powersports factory inc. They import and market scooters/motorcycles. This was pumped a while back and never took off for some reason. They recently hired a marketing firm to help boost shareholder value. I;m at 20,000 shares all at .0055 and it currently sits at .0074 so a little gain. The others I have are all long shots where you can buy 500-10,000 shares for like $20 and sit on it forever with hopes. If they never do anything I lose $20, big deal. I will post later with things on my watch list.
