SVTC EO wiring harness

if i wanted to swap out my 98 SVTC EO wiring harness for a 98 does it have to also be a SVT harness or can a regular Contour harness work? I know I can rebuilt the one I have but someone has tried and failed at it. I was looking thru the wiring yesterday and found a few wires that were not even connected to anything. So I am hoping I can find one at one of the yards around here. Just need some clarification.

I wouldn't. Iirc 98s had bad wiring and some were recalled because of it. If your confident in your abilities I would go the rebuild route. But to answer your question should be the ssne
