Never see much attention on the 03/04 Mach and 01 Cobra. Where they cool for a minute and then the 03/04 Cobra owned all love? I can get an 01 Cobra for $10,000 if I look hard enough with 70,000 miles. I'm sure their great cars. Why no love for Mach's? Cobra overshadow it? Crappy to work on with the fake ram air hood?

I dunno. I have a Mach. Shaker pops right off to work on stuff. It's not fake either. It works. Hides a kenne bell rather well too

My stock 01 would have run with any stock Mach.

I love a mach 1. The interior is awesome! Looks are perfect. Throw a t56 in and take that junker tr3650 out.

They're the underdogs but the mach 1 gets way more attention than the 99/01 Cobras. The mach just wasn't a let down as far as challenging the SS of the time. I love 01 Cobras, but it does suck that they are not blown just like the sn95 cobra. I'd own one but if I had to choose I'd go Mach 1.
Had a 99 cobra, ex took it. Solid car after I swapped the rear end out with on 04 rearend . Full boltons and it ran well. The mach1 motor was never as smooth idling nor seemed as well built, but the mach1 ran harder. Weight? Tune? Not sure. For an all motor 4v I've beat several 03-04 cobras and it surprised me. 456 gear ftw ! I like both cars and if it weren't for wanting a 2010 Shelby id get an 04 cobra for my next car.

the 01 cobra was much better than the 99. but the 03-04 mach 1 were better due to having better heads and cams. also better gearing from stock 3.55 vs 3.27 in the 99/01. both cars really need more gear like 410/430s. also the T3650 in the mach was stronger than the cobra T3650.

As long as we are talking Mach 1 and 01 Cobra why not throw in the Bullitt? New intake/tb, altered suspension, also a limited run...

Oh, it was the heads and cams that made the 03's so much better than 01's... :lol:

If you wanted to build a turbo'd beast of a drag car, a 99/01 Cobra or Mach is a perfect car since you'd be replacing the irs, t56, and blower of an 03 anyway..
Shaker looks cool as hell from inside the car, other than that both cars run damn near the same.
Felt like a good topic. I guess Mach wins on nostalgia but both are pretty close with the Mach edging out. But both are overshadowed by the terminator and the S197 cars.
