After purchasing my brother's 2004 Mustang GT from him a few months ago, I grew pretty tired of the factory steering wheel. It has 178k miles on it and it looked like it had been deep fried (Texas Summers). I added an SVE FR500 steering wheel from Late Model Restoration and it was a HUGE upgrade from the factory steering wheel.

The factory steering wheel in it's best form is quite thin and is lacking any character. The SVE FR500 steering wheel is noticeably thicker all around and has perforations on the sides. The simulated leather has more of a matte finish than the shinier leather on the OEM wheel as well which was nice with my charcoal interior.

I would love one for mine. Im in Sydney, Australia. Problem is exchange rate and postage costs. Maybe there are used ones out there for sale!
Does all the functions still work?
Thanks

I haven't purchased yet. Someone mentioned they use a wheel cover and just sowed the red strip on. I don't know it may look tacky with a wheel cover on there if it doesn't if it's not a real good-looking one

Still waiting on the mfg to make them in saddle. Not everyone wants/has a black interior.

Prolly never gonna happen though, sigh.
