Thank you, I never used to like candy red or ruby red when the 13/14s first came out, now I love both colors, I think the candy red looks nicer, but I wanted a 14.

That's my wife's RX450H. It's a plug in hybrid, so you get about 40 miles of full electric, then the gas engine kicks over, and since I'm a Lexus master technician I get $600 towards my monthly lease payment, so every year I get my wife a new Lexus, it makes her happy. My daily drive is a 2015 Tundra that's another gas guzzler lol. View attachment 1936154
I had a 14 Ruby Red Raptor for a while and I'm like you and prefer the Red Candy

If I got a deal like that I'd have a new Lexus too. Toyota was never great of fuel mileage, but the reliabilty of them as hard to beat. I had a early 80s 4x4 pickup with a 22R engine in it that had a ton of miles on it that just wouldn't die no matter how much I neglected it.

I thought all of the S1000 engines were equipped with a Kenne Bell supercharger.
No Kurt. This is not a Shelby 1000. It's a Super Snake, Signature Edition (1 of 50) with a widebody package. I don't believe this is a real 1000 hp optioned SS. It probably has the holeshot option. It doesn't have the correct SS wheels, although the Shelby 1000 wheels are just as nice.

Shelby 1000's and/or SS with a real 1000 hp option package upgrade came standard with a KB SC, but a Whipple SC option was an upgrade option available.

I know of one 2014 Shelby1000 with a Whipple and a few 2012 1000s with Whipples, but you typically see the KBs on them.

The only reason I think this SS has the legit 1000hp option is they're claiming it makes 1028whp. Holeshot cars typically dyno around 850whp. I wish mecum would share more info on the build.

It's possible it has the 1000 hp upgrade package. It would be making more than 1,028 on race fuel, so I guess it could be tuned on 93. You think a car like that would show at least a little documentation.

I run Amsoil SS ATF in both my TREMEC transmissions (TR-6060 in the Shelby and TR-6070 in the Z06). I run Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 in the rear of both cars (and throughout the drivetrain of my Tacoma). I've had zero problems and no regrets.
I opted to go with Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-85. The 75W-90 will work just fine, agreed, but I just went with the OEM recommendation. I also picked up AMSOIL Signature Series Multi-Vehicle 100% Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid. Hopefully I can get these fluids changed before it's time to store the SS away for the winter.

100% and it's all speculation at this point, but I know if I was bidding on a Super Snake like that I'd want the build sheets up front.

I'm dating my choices (and probably myself), but SEVERE GEAR 75W-90 WAS the recommended rear diff lube when I migrated everything to Amsoil over a decade ago. I still have a copy of the recommendation sheet and don't think SEVERE GEAR 75W-85 was part of the product line at the time.

Given that she's a fair weather (i.e., warm weather) vehicle only, I share your view that there's no harm in continuing to run 75W-90. Moreover, that remains the recommended rear diff lube for my Z06 and the entire drive train of my Tacoma. Buying/stocking one gear lube simplifies ordering and garage inventory.

One of the few reasons for the OEM 75W-85 diff recommendations for this oil was to eke out fuel efficiency numbers in our Shelbys. But I think the 75W-90 is perfectly fine and probably better for warmer climates and if you track your Shelby periodically.

This was listed for sale about 4 months ago as low as $64k. He was asking more and kept lowering the price. It was advertised on one of the less common websites that I can't immediately recall. There's a bunch of signatures on the radiator cover from the shelby guys who built it.

The big snake sticker on the side doesn't help, and it's missing the CF splitter, the Shelby signature on the dash is done by an auto pen since it has the 3 lines under the signature. I would think it would've sold at 64k
It will be interesting to see if it can sell at 80K with 30K on the odometer. I don't think it will, but at 70-75K... very possible.
That's what i was thinking as well, I just want the red calipers from it lol.
