Sorry, i don't have any experience with the KB STB.. I can tell you that the MM STB didn't work for me with the whipple...
Placed a microfiber towel with some wax on the strut tower brace and shut the hood..

Kenny Brown use to make a special version KBP29502 that fits the Kenne Bell / Whipple I believe, the regular one doesn't fit.
