Stock intake tube mod

Anyone remove the 'baffle assembly' inside the stock intake tube? I took the assembly off the car and was looking at it. I popped the baffle out with a small flat-head screwdriver and re-installed the intake tube. Just returned from a short test drive. Seemed to be able to hear the whine just a tad more.

I put a resonator delete on my 11, only to replace it with a 750hp kit later on...........
Having a spare stock intake tube allowed me to remove the baffle, & port match the discharge end of the tube, before putting it on the 14.
To me, it looks like it should flow more air, and it does seem a little louder than stock....... It will till the blower upgrade.

........( I thought I was the only one with the low tech fixes )..........Must be that time " we " spent in the service..
