We've been working behind the scenes to make a Boss specific cold air system. While our current 5.0L GT system will fit a Boss car we wanted to improve the fit and while we were at it, improve the air intake system itself.

Here is a sneak peak at those efforts.

The inlet tube has been revised for a direct fit. As many of you know the throttle body is in a different position and angle than the 5.0L GT which makes it a chore to install aftermarket cold airs designed for the GT.

As you can see from this shot the angle the tube meets the throttle body is correct, with the GT kit you end up with an angle between the tube and the silicone connection since it is intended for the GT application. It works but its not really correct. Our new set up will be.

It will also feature a larger diameter to accommodate the higher airflow potential of the Boss 302 set up.

Comments welcome.

It is Here!! 555-3162 Boss Mustang Cold Air Intake

Designed in-house by our engineering staff specifically for the Boss 302. This high performance CAI effectively opens up the intake system of Ford's five-liter power plant and allows it to breath much more freely than the stock intake system allows - taking your 2012 Boss 302 Mustang to the next level of performance.

Our engineers started with a large surface area high-flow nano-fiber air filter, added our famous “race-tested” velocity stack entry and then designed a stainless steel heat shield with a durable rubber gasket to seal the shield against the vehicle’s hood. Next we increased the MAF housing size to 101mm and coupled it to a new higher flowing Pro-Flow inlet hose with our Cool-Tube Technology.
