had a good race last night. rolled up beside a beautiful mach 1. we started from 50 up to about 120. we ended with him being 3/4 of car length ahead.He than rolled down his window and asked what was done to my car, he was shocked to find out it was just stock with a tune. I asked what was done to his and he said it had a vortech supercharger My smile from ear to ear could not of been any bigger I know i should be prepared for the flames are BS flag but thats how the race went down and no i was not running the bottle on that run. I think he was really disappionted the big sled almost stayed door to door with him I have know clue what amount of boost he was running are what other modz he had but was really happy with the outcome of the race. I had a 04 mach 1 myself with gears and exhaust and know these cars are not much slower stock with equal drivers in a 1/4 mile so please don't tell me to :read: up on the mach's I know there fast but this was my experience with this car in this race.
Do u have a charger or a 300c? A friend of a friend has a srt8 Charger and was running 13.1-13.2 consistently at the track bone stock on street tires. I would imagine a SC Mach 1, especially with a centri blower to pull a lot more from 50-120 than 3/4 car from you. But, good race. Anything can happen on the street.
I have the 300c yeah I thought he would do alot better too. maybe he his just running a real safe tune :shrug:
sounds like an april fools joke..posted that run days ago.. i walked an srt8 challenger by 4 cars and my mach1 is a safe tune at 7 psi..sounds like the guy was bs when he said he had a blower..only way you kept up is if you were sprayin and a good driver would still put almost two cars on ya..there nice cars but really heavy..
Not calling bs because anything can happen on the street, but I ran a 13.27 with my Mach 1 bone stock. With a vortech/procharger on low boost a Mach 1 will generally make around 450whp, and be good for mid 11s. Their 300-400lbs lighter than a cobra and much lighter than a SRT8. Even a bolt on Mach 1 with gears will be into the 12s, seems like something doesnt add up.
Well I don't see whats so hard to belive I mean a stock 03-04 cobra is a good race for a stock srt8 with both being equal drivers yes the cobra should get him every time but needs to hit all the gears one slow shift and the srt8 will be right back door to door are out by a nose. I agree he should of done better but if he is running low boost he may be only as fast are slower then a stock cobra.should not hate on me I am only saying how this race went down. I am sure your just another guy that underestimate these cars. like I said one slow shift would be all it would take for this to happen.
I agree with your point, however a Mach 1 with low boost and a conservative tune will be at 400whp and 3300 pounds. With a 300c weighing almost 800 to 1000 pounds heavier and being down 50+ horsepower minimum, its hard to see the race going in the 300c favors. With a missed shift and a terrible driver anything can happen, good runs none the less, I wouldnt mind picking up a Black SRT8 for a daily, IMO pure sex lol :rockon:
on the other end i posted a run last week with an srt8 challenger that i was only able to put 1 or so car length on ran him twice, guy said his car was stock (had to be bs) and my car has 460 sae so i should have walked him.. anything can happen on the streets nice run
I would say by our #'s and if your a decent driver he must of been holding back about mods to his car. But these big cars roll out hard looking at them could you see them hitting top speeds of 170+ Probably not but they do.:shrug:

Actually if he was 3/4 car ahead he DID win. Not by as much as he should have but a win is a win. I have seen plenty of poorly tunes/driven supercharged cars running mid 13's or slower.
