Finally a credible thread. Honestly 740 would be a disappointment now the Red-eye has been announced with 797. 770 should be minimum to be considered impressive. Clearly the power to weight ratio will be much better on the GT500. I know that Eaton has lighter weight blowers available with magnesium rotors. Will be interesting to see if CF wheels are offered. I see curb weight coming in just under 4000 lbs. I wouldn't be opposed to a sole offering of 7-speed DCT. Pushing in on the clutch over sectioned concrete at 150+ to shift into 5th was unnerving in my 2014 due to unsettling the suspension, but maybe the magneto shocks and IRS would solve that. I don't wth is going on at Ford. They're one step above junk-bond status now. Too much emphasis and investment on electrification and autonomy but they're super slow in rolling out this technology in their production vehicles. Now being hurt by Brexit and the trade war with China. And 7-years between GT500s, lacking in RWD configurations for their vehicle lineup, and genuinely disinterested in exciting driving vehicles. Major leadership crisis at the Blue Oval...
