Speaking of VIR, I was at the races last weekend. (Had a freakin' BLAST! If you ever get the chance to go to the races at VIR, DO IT. I could write a page about the fun I had and the experiences. I think I had a grin on my face the entire weekend, Friday thru Sunday.) I got to do a ride along in a GT350R on the road course in the middle of the track. All I can say is WOW! And it didn't even have the Sport Cup 2 tires on. It was wearing the standard GT350 wheels and tires. The driver said he was super impressed with the car because the other cars there (Lexus RC-F, C6 Corvette (Z06?), and something else) kept having to come in and cool down. He said he had been lapping the R all day without a cool down. I saw one of the RC-F's come in with its front brakes nearly on fire. Smoke was literally billowing out from them when he stopped. The R looked like it was completely unbothered by all the lapping. And he wasn't taking it easy, either. He even did a mid-corner shift that didn't upset it one iota. I can't wait to get mine on track!
