Which ones? IF you are talking about the 9" no way is a 8.8 ever going to be in the same class as 9". 9" is a lot easier to work on and also has a stronger housing.

I mean is the KR axle and the bullitt axle the same? Do they put the exact same axle in both cars?

all 05+ v8 stangs have the same rear, just different final drive.
The GT500, Bullitts & KRs have some unique features in the rear-end not found in the Mustang GTs. The ones that I'm aware of are:

1. Carbon fiber clutch packs in the traction-lok LS-differential.

2. The pinion bearing is heavier duty.

I thought they also have larger axles?

^^^ Is correct because I rebuilt my 95's 8.8 with #1 last summer.
