Points will be awarded this season, keep checking for the specifics on that.

There will be prizes at the end of the year for Points Leaders.

*As additional sponsors are added, we may either guarentee and/or add to the payouts regardless of field count.

It is the DRIVER'S responsibility to keep track of their Series Car numbers. For example, Streetracer Class will be designated "SR" on your vehicle. If you are "SR1," that is YOUR number for the remainder of the season. To help keep track of your points, you must remember your own car number and re-register as that number next race.

As always, there will be absolutely NO changes to your vehicle after Tech. Your car must pass Tech the way it will be raced. Any protests must be done before eliminations. If you are caught altering your vehicle after Tech as far as safety or class rules, you will be disqualified and no refund for your class will be given.

Tech has the final say in any safety or regulation issue. We suggest you have a qualified mechanic or NHRA certified Technician go over your car before the day of the race if you have any questions. Absolutely ANY vehicle that does not pass Tech for any reason will NOT be racing that day, unles the issue is solved and the car is re-teched. The SWSSCS Staff reserves the right to refuse entry to any person for any reason.

Tech will try to remind all racers about the water box; specifically if you should use it or not. We ask that anyone not familiar with the water box or the capabilities of their tires please ask a SWSSCS Tech or find out before competing. If you are not supposed to be in the water box, you will not be allowed to drive in it, period. We will have a person at the water box who will specifically be making sure that the cars entering it need to be. Safety is our top priority at this event, and unnecessary water in the lanes will not be tolerated. When in doubt- ask!

The speed limit when not going down the 1320 is 5 miles per hour, and we mean it. If you're caught exceeding the speed limit you will be disqualified from any class, asked to park, and possibly removed from the track. People will have their expensive race trailers at this event and their very expensive race cars will be backing out of them. We are not responsible for your injuries if you happen to be speeding and take out the side of an Outlaw as it's coming down the trailer. Your punishment will be quick, painful, and severe. You can't outrun them, and if they have to chase you you're just going to make it worse, so be smart and slow down.
--->5 MPH!<---
Pay attention, drive slowly, and read your slips after you get back to the Pits.

We look forward to working hard for you and treating you all to a great event. If you need any assistance with anything at all, please feel free to contact any of the Southwest Speed Staff and any volunteers. We are more than happy to arrange hotel reservations, pit space, and help with any issues arrising. We also are going to work with a local hotel in regards to discounted rates for those of you coming from out of town. We appreciate the racers and we want you to feel welcomed. There would be no event without you. If for some reason you do not have computer access or an interested party needs help, please call 505-261-7344, or email [email protected] for any questions.

Stay posted for the Events, and Event Day Schedules.
