Anyone remove these to paint or replace? Mine got messed up on the driver side and I found out a new one painted white is only $54 with my discount. I think it just pops on and off but I dont want to mess up the 1/4 panel removing it. Thanks Eric

Yes, they are just held on by push pins, 6 of them.

I pried them off using a thin, flat bar with a cloth to protect the surrounding paint.

Some are taking off the Cobra scoops and installing Bullit ones.

if i take off the side scoops, are the push pin marks noticeable? I wanna take mine off, just not sure if it will look tacky or not.

You have to either cover the area with another scoop or fill in the holes. Tacky is an understatement on how they look without the scoops. Bullitt scoops are the way to go. That's what Dana did. I've seen several Bullitt scoop cars and they look much better than stock.

Edit-Hey JB, great minds think alike. LOL!

You bet. I hope the weather cooperates. Any word on whether Dana will be able to compete without a roll bar?

Sorry for the hijack, guys...

Thanks for all the replies. I think the bullitt scoops would look nice but I think I will get the original cobra part especially since I only need one.

If you are paying $54 for the scoop including paint, that is a great deal since the Bullit scoop is about that cost primed.

Then again, maybe the Cobra scoops are a lot cheaper? Somehow I doubt that...

I work for a GMC dealership so we can get wholesale price on just about any auto part.
