Kinda, but more so wanting to move real fast.. I was just divorced and she wanted to move in early on etc. I pumped the brakes on that talk. We saw each other for around a year then occasionally still hooked up from time to time, slowly we just quit talking

Went to my follow up for my GP after the breathing test, blood tests and chest X-ray. I was really shocked, nothing wrong after 47 years of abuse. Cholesterol and all the other stuff normal. I actually did better on the breathing machine than 2 years ago. That must be from not smoking. This really must be genetics.

So, I've mentioned my right shoulder bothering me for the last year, and getting worse. I made an appointment about a month and a half ago with a recommendation from my cardiologist and a few friends. My wife and I actually looked this doctor up a couple weeks ago just to see the feedback. Wow, this guy has some credentials. #5 in the country for shoulders, great patient ratings. Today was the appointment at 2:00. Got there at 1:45, checking in and 2 minutes later they called me. Went back to the exam room. A nice girl came in, asked questions and said someone will come in to get Xrays. Two minutes later, Erica takes me around the corner for two pictures. It was funny, because she said "oh boy" after taking the pictures. Went back to the exam room, she pulls the xrays up on the screen and said the doctor would be in in a few to explain. The doctor comes in, asks me what' up and I explain. He had already seen what was wrong with my shoulder. Zero cartilage left with explained the pain and popping, catching and clicking. Two options, shots that might work for 3-6 months, or replace. No brainer, I'm having a complete reverse shoulder replacement done. I asked, "have you done them before?" Yep, he said I'm doing 6 tomorrow. I need to wait for two of my doctors to sign off so we can schedule this. Wild deal, this is outpatient stuff. Picture below.
TLDR, I'm getting a new shoulder.

So I have the exact same issue at 58 years old and have had two Cortizone shots in the last eight months that have worked wonders. Recovery from shoulder surgery is very long and arduous so just doing shots at the moment and it may be from whacking it too much also

That's not a solution in my case. I wish it was.

Brad, a few things that I learned personally after my shoulder surgery is this.

All that PT didn’t really help me feel better. For whatever reason, acupuncture got my shoulder to feel slightly better but for whatever reason golf has my shoulder feeling better than it has in 20-30 years.

I am not one for painkillers but it was the only way I could sleep after surgery. They will want to start PT immediately. You will want to rip your therapist and doctor’s head off and shit down their neck for this. Constant stretching will be your friend.

They say stress is the silent killer. But poisonous darts are pretty damn quiet.

Thanks James. I think the PT is to get the range of movement back. Total recovery is 6-12 weeks, but reaching behind my back will take longer he said. I've never taken pain pills besides Ibuprofen, etc. They will have a script for Percocet for me. They will also do a nerve block that lasts about 36 hrs so I don't feel anything. I'm sure that'll drive me nuts.

I had all that fun stuff. Let me tell you, the nerve block did not last 36 hours. Also, due to family and friends issues with drugs, I am not one to take pain meds. My wife has watched me suffer at times. I was chasing the percocets with alcohol.

Now, I did not have a replacement. I am borderline Type 2/3 Acromium disorder. I had three separate tears. They had to shave the bone down, unfortunately they couldn’t get it how they wanted without risking more issues, they repaired the tears, and removed scar tissue.

I still have some residual issues, if I sleep a certain way my arm will go numb.

I wish you the best man.

That sucks. Thanks, this guy supposed to be very good. I'm ready, sick of the pain, catching and popping when I move my arm. Lot's to do around here, that I really can't do right now.
