So i found a vortech ysi for a 96-98 cobra for sale local . The guy want 1900 for it and was wondering if it would be a good decision. Its a full kit with a fmic. The guy said its been sitting for a year and just wants to get rid of it. I called vortech to see what a rebuild would cost just in case it needed one,the price wasnt bad?My plan for the car this year was a upr k member and coil overs, getting ready for a turbo next year. But this ysi kit sounds like a good deal, might be able to talk him down. So i guess when it comes down to it who has ran a ysi and hated it or switch to a turbo?thanks

They're big blowers, and in my opinion to big for most street cars.. You really gotta spin those bitches hard.. 7500+rpm and 23+psi.. They make power though.. But you'll need a 8rib kit, Bigger crank pulley (15%o/d) and a thump tensioner..
