With a contact patch size of 8.6" wide for the # 3754 tire, if you put that on a 10" wide rim, the height will be shorter and the tire will be stretched on the wheel. With that tire having a real tread to sidewall definition/line, you would have the very top edge of the sidewall being forced to serve contact patch duty. Which in the long run is not good. It would probably put your installed height at 26.5" to 26.8"+/-. I personally would not put that tire on a 10" wide rim as it's better suited for a 8" wide wheel. Bias ply fronts, we have a four options, if you are using a 17" wheel. M&H Racemaster 28x4.5-17 P/N MSS024 http://www.jegs.com/i/M-H/676/MSS-024/10002/-1?parentProductId=752031 Installed height is just a tad over 27.5". Moroso DS-2 front drag rire 26.2 x 5-17 P/N 17029 http://www.jegs.com/i/Moroso/710/17029/10002/-1?parentProductId= This tire should be right at 26" installed height. Phoenix 27 x 4.5 - 17 front drag tire P/N PH427 http://www.jegs.com/i/Phoenix-Drag-Tires/932/PH427/10002/-1?parentProductId=746889 Installed height should be dead on at 27" tall with full pressure. If I had to choose between these options, I'd probably go with the M&H Racemaster front first, then the Phoenix second. This would give you the tallest tire and the best chance at full weight transfer with the least amount of front end rake. Everytime I've run bias ply fronts, I've had zero issues with the tire shop balancing them using stick on weights mounted on the back side of the wheel. Just be careful not to hit any huge pot holes or take corners too fast. They are not meant for handling, just smooth and stable when going fast in a straight line. One last thing, you definitely want as much sidewall wrinkle capability as you can get when you start launching your car with boost. That is why I highly suggest the 28" tall rear tires. Especially if you plan on building the bottom end and really turning up the power. Spend once and never look back. And btw, that JLT CAI I got from you last year is working great. Thanks again for that deal. Keep us posted on your ride and I can't wait to see some pics with your race wheels & tires on. Patrick
