Shift Kit Or Not?

I have a 93 5.0 and i bought a shift kit for it. Some people tell me that i should put it on and others tell me no....what do you guys think? let me know if i should do it or not or if you have heard anything about them.

A shift kit will help performance. What exactly is it saying it will do? Get a 2800 stall too.
