Hello

I have a question about the boost
And the gauge.

I habe a 2011 Gt500
I have installed a 2,7 " pulley from steeda.
The car get a dyno tune.

I Read the Stock boost is arround 8,5 psi.

The pulley should get 3 psi more.

I Look now in my gauge and is See only that it Shows 9 psi?
There are 2 thik slashes and it goes at Full throttel only to the 9th

I Change the eliminator Tube to days bevor and i mean it Shows now 1 psi less.

Is the boost correct of have i an issue?
I look for leaks in the intake but everything is Fine and bolt on.

Thanks
Patrick

I believe the factory boost is inferred not actual. Does the car feel different from an acceleration standpoint?

That is the test that matters most to me.

It is difficult to say.
But i mean it is a litel slower.
And i mean when i drive off the Tuner home and get on the Gas it goes over 10 psi.
I try at Cold and Hot temps outside but no Change.

It it possible from the ECU it learn by it Self my Be After a reset it goes?

Wie geht's?!

I'd strongly recommend getting a guage, I did a similar mod, see my signature below, and didn't drive the car until I got my Aeroforce guage setup to read Air/Fuel, etc. You have a 2011 so it has widebands already. Without an aftermarket guage I'd worry that if something is wrong you could hurt the car. IMO, with any mod like this it's worth a few hundred dollars (euros) to get a good guage so you can monitor with accuracy. The fcatory dash boost guage is not very accurate at all. Especially if you say your car feels slower, than something is wrong. With a pulley & tune you should feel the car is much stronger as it hits 3,000 RPM and up, it should be very noticeable. In the meantime be careful, you don't want to damage that engine and have to deal with that. Good luck.

hi,

danke gut ;)
thanks for the tip with the gauge.
When i understand it right i can use my sct x3 and can read the
widebands.
I phone today with my tuner where the car was on the dyno.

He says that he look over the tune and the datalogging.
The A/F Ratio is perfekt,
He read it form the car his own and they habe an extra in the exhaust put.
So they can see when one is bad.
i don't have to worry.

I drive today and i see the car has his power.
Funny is it when you get in the sec. gear and it get to wheelspin.

I try a pull and get on 294 km/h than i stopped i don't whant to get the car over 6200 RPM

:)

I have a 2008 GT 500. Boost was follows:

Stock 9psi
Stock plus tune plus JLT filter 10psi
Stock plus tune plus JLt filter plus 2.6 pulley 14psi

Readings was on the stock gauge. Each time a mod was made the car was faster. This was an canned tune but worked extremely well with stock exhuast. No mods to exhaust with each of the above listed.

I have other mods now but above was how it started in the beginning.......:D
