After 7 years 7 months and 15 days the silver metallic 2004 SVT Cobra coupe #2686 drove off with the 2nd owner it's ever known. I've had all the fun I could ever imagine and more with this car and have met some of the coolest people and made some great friends just because of owning this Cobra. My next vehicle will be an R35 GTR, and though I know most of ya'll think of that as blasphemous I will still be around SVTP.
The new owner is not a clueless buyer, he actually owned a modded '03 in the past. It's nice knowing the new buyer appreciates the setup the cobra has for what it is and doesn't care to hit up a drag strip, strip down the interior, or do anything to take away from the "street car" essence that it's had. I'm sure he'll be posting on the forum often, and since the car was street tuned by kevin it has never seen a dyno.....tomorrow it'll hit the rollers so I think I'm actually more anxious to see what it lays down than anyone else, maybe the new owner is there too ;-)

Thanks for all the help i've gotten off this site from before I even picked up the car!
see you fellas around

It is bitter sweet when your car drives away.... Happy to have sold it but really going to miss it!! I was relieved to sell mine quickly but the day it was picked up was hard! My wife and 2 girls were balling and very upset.

I have the piece of mind knowing that mine (like yours) went to an enthusiast who will appreciate it like I did. The owner of my car is a member here and we just PM'd a week ago. He has added TF wheels and barely put any miles on her.

Congrats on the sale

I was so upset when I saw my Trans am and mustang drive away, I know how it feels, when I traded my caddy though it was for the cobra and it was nothing but smiles. Congrats on selling the car and good luck to your next purchase! I'm glad to see the car went to a deserving owner

Congrats on the sale bro. It's tough to sell anything in this economy right now.

I'm wondering if the R35 thing will stick or not though. After driving a Cobra, a R35 might get boring pretty quickly. Not because it won't be fast as balls, but rather because the R35 is so refined it's kinda boring to drive in my opinion. You'll win a shitload of races for sure, but it's practically a racecar for the street.

Yeah it's tough, you will never forget the Cobra but let's face it, the GTR is a far superior car so that should make things a little easier.

Congrats on the sale man. You'll love the GTR.

BTW, I need to check out you're wash! Were thinking of building one of ours in Midwest City.

Damn a nice silver terminator u had there!!

Thank you, it was great on every level....the new owner knew what he was getting with this car. For what he wants, he couldn't have picked a better cobra imo

Thanks dude, i know what ya mean! He does a lot of work over seas so i doubt it'll rack up a ton of miles.....just a lot of smiles for him :burnout:

Yes sir, I was scared some 17 year old kid's parents were gonna show up with a check and the dumb shit would kick the shit out of it and run it into a tree :xpl:

Best of luck!! :)

I'm sure it was hard seeing it drive away. Good that it went to an enthusiast. Good luck finding a nice GTR, I'm sure you will like it.

It was, but I was ready to sell it...it would've been different if I had an emergency and had to sell it but didn't want to. I was prepared to part with it

Congrats on the sale bro. It's tough to sell anything in this economy right now.

I agree, i just had to be patient and know the right buyer would eventually come around and see the car for what it offered and appreciate it. I've driven them before and I don't have an unattached feeling behind the wheel. Yes, it is VERY refined and it's just on an entire different level (though slower than the Cobra  ) but the versatility is what attracted me to it more than anything...it will be a fun car, that much i know!

I'll definitely never forget it, way too many memories! But yes, moving on to the GTR will provide that again....but the cobra will always be a part of me

Congrats on the sale. It must of been hard seeing it drive away. Good luck.

Thank you! It was bitter sweet

Congratulations on the sale Tony!

That car was/is so right on so many levels!

Thanks Jimmy! People like you, who i've met only because of us owning these cars made the entire ownership experience even more than i ever would've expected. Next chance we both get to hit up a road course, i expect a ride from the pro :poke:

I look forward to you posting pics, mods, custom mods, and races by you in the R35.

I'll keep ya'll updated......the GTR haters on this site will rib me pretty hard, but i've been on this site too long to just leave for good

Mine went bye-bye yesterday too

:( i know the feeling, obviously. what's next for you? :??:

Congrats on the sale man. You'll love the GTR.

Thanks Wes! Anytime you're in the area, feel free to hit me up and come by. If you have any questions i can answer for you, i'd be more than happy to do so!
btw, what's the update on yours????

Congrats on your sale! Gtr's are phenomenal cars.

Thank you, and yes they are!

Congrats Tony!

Kevin! I think i owe you the most thanks!!! The new owner was more impressed by the streetability of your tuning than almost anything else. Though he's not much a fan of the Spec 5, even though the squeal is almost gone.....he said the fact that I was crazy enough to hand polish and maintain a stainless steel cutback was proof enough to him that it was likely the most well maintained Cobra available! I'll hollar at ya next time i'm in Dallas

Appreciate it man! Will do. We're all automatic, which I wish we could stay away from but being able to tie in with gas stations has it's benefits.

It's so close man lol The motor is in but I've been fighting the power steering lines for the past few days and recently pulled my back so I haven't been able put much time in since last week. Hopefully in the next couple weeks it'll be running.

Congrats Tony! That beauty evolved from a minor blip on the radar to a downright nasty street car that was by far one of my favorite Cobras. Glad it went to an enthusiast, I'm excited to see what your future R35 turns into when you snap out of this dream world where you think you're going to keep it relatively stock.

It's always to see your car drive away especially one you have had for so long and put a lot into over the years. Although transitioning to a gtr certainly will ease the pain. Glad to see though that the cobra went to a decent owner.
