Separate fuel lines and pumps feeding each rail, no no?

My 96 Cobra has one of the very early design Glenn’s sleeper setups. From the sump it Y’s off to twin Walbro 255’s but after that each Walbro has a single -6 all the way to the rails, with one pump feeding 1 bank and the other pump feeding the other bank. Shouldn’t these pumps Y AFTER the pumps too in case a pump fails or gets weaker than the other so it won’t destroy 1 bank?

Yeah I would y them together like you're saying. Like you said, one pump could be weaker than the other. Be hard to recognize unless you have two wide bands. But even then, seems like you're asking for trouble running them separate. IMO

Bad design. If you loose a pump, you'll loose 4 cylinders/ 1 bank. Especially as the pump slowly fails and doesn't supply enough fuel and it runs lean.
