AAPEX and SEMA Announce Health & Safety Measures

LAS VEGAS (Aug. 26, 2021) -- AAPEX and the SEMA Show, the two events that make up
the automotive aftermarket industry's premier trade gathering during the first
week in November, have released information regarding health and safety measures for
their respective events in Las Vegas, Nevada.

- AAPEX (November 2-4, Venetian Expo & Caesars Forum): The co-owners of AAPEX; the Auto Care Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers
Association (AASA); will require proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a
negative COVID PCR test administered prior to arrival in order to attend the 2021
event. AAPEX co-owners also are evaluating the potential for onsite testing for
those unable to be vaccinated or to obtain a negative PCR test prior to the show.
These measures will be administered through a third-party verification platform and
on-site screening. Additionally, while subject to change, as of July 30, 2021,
Nevada is requiring masks for all indoor events in Las Vegas.
AAPEX will announce more details in the near future.

- SEMA Show (November 2-5, Las Vegas Convention Center) organizers are taking into
account that the COVID-19 landscape is changing week to week. The SEMA Show is
working with state and local health authorities to announce more in the coming
weeks concerning safety measures that will be required in November. While subject
to change, as of July 30, 2021, Nevada is requiring masks for all indoor events in
Las Vegas. AAPEX and SEMA are 100% committed to ensuring a great Automotive
Aftermarket Industry Week in Las Vegas. As the COVID-19 landscape continues to
evolve, health and safety measures will be updated for the respective shows to
provide the best business opportunities for those attending. With the Venetian Clean Commitment and the LVCC GBAC Star Facility Accreditation in place, organizers are looking forward to welcoming the industry back to our live events. With combined exhibits of more than 2,000 manufacturers & suppliers slated to participate and very strong buyer registration to date, now is the time to reconnect.

Not like anyone wants to see a bunch of halfass builds anyway

Oh your talking about SEMA is 6 weeks away and so we need to get what usually takes 2 years to do and cram it all in. But I agree most normal people are sick and tired of thr chicken littles running around with their heads cut off saying how evil and deadly this virus is. If that was the case then 90% of us should of been 6 ft under by now instead of just maybe a million.

I'll be out in Vegas for my very first SEMA event. My nephew works at Nissan's HQ in Nashville and he's going to get me in early before the show starts. Plan on being in Vegas over the Halloween weekend. Will be at the NHRA drags on Saturday the 30th. Can't wait, should be a lot of fun!

Well shit, looks like I am out. Lots to see and do and has been a few years since I have gone. But not testing and wearing a ****ing mask to go. Also not doing the vax-port bullshit either

I was reading an article about the mask mandate in Vegas.

Evidently it is the wild wild west out there right now. At least one casino was requiring a vax card and mask to enter. Others requiring masks, but they can't keep up with people taking them off. Sometimes this was getting ugly.

My bride and I were scheduled to go for a week out there on Aug 24th, but with the mask mandate we said Hell No. Turns out to be a bigger shit show than we thought it would be.
