Hopefully you let it continue updating and you are good now. In preparation for a new dyno tune, I returned my car to the stock tune file and updated my X4 today. Firmware was updated first, then 3607 files taking approximately 2 hours and 42 minutes to update. I did not notice a slow down at any point, but it was definitely the longest update I ever performed. I performed my last update roughly 1 year ago. There are two trains of thought with updating handheld devices... either NEVER update it OR update it OFTEN to avoid potential update issues (like device driver errors which can lock out your device). I always update the Device Updater program as a first step. Then once the program restarts, I connect my X4 and verify connectivity. Once connectivity is confirmed, then I hit "Automatically check for updates". I haven't experienced any issues using this method, and updating at least once a year. If you give your device to your Tuner during a tune revision dyno session, they will likely update it for you... at least that has been my experience in the past.
