same thing i was thinkin about the tri-ax....that is definately stock shifter with steeda handle...but on another note would the livewire work on a 96 cobra?? im pretty sure it would just didnt know if they were vehicle specific.

You're totally right. I just checked out their web-site and the base doesn't look anything like theirs. That's my bad. I've never seen one before, and I replaced it with a stock one. I guess I should've put them sided by side to compare the 'non-differences'.
