Scott Sparta was at St Thomas Dragway trying to get his new combination dialed in with his new modular setup. Stage 2 Cams Internally!

First pass, car got way loose on the 1-2 shift (AGAIN!) They tightened up the shocks a few clicks after this run. 60' was 1.37 leaving at 7200rpm (2000rpm lower than what I would on a real sticky track)

Second pass he did a 1.29' (best ever for an n/a modular), 3.94 in the 330' and let off by the 1/8th mile. Still went 6.17 at 105 in the 1/8th, and 10.60 @90 mph out the back door. Again, letting off before the 1/8th, leaving at only 7200, and short shifting at 9000 (normal shift point is 9800).

3rd pass, he had to pedal the car, which equals "hang the phuck on".

I suppose you don't watch NHRA on weekends. Tune in a bit and you'll fully understand what pedaling the car is all about. :)

Nope, I've never watched drag racing on TV. What is pedalling the car?

Someone already said it. Its getting in and out of the throttle to keep the car straight when its starting to go sideways.

Is there a description somewhere of how it works? Do you push the gas at each end of the arc, or when the car's straight? I'm asking in case I need to use it one of these days. :)
