They had the red one @ Philly with red interior. Car looks awesome in person.
The '05 Mustang product specialist stated:
There will be a GT350 Cobra in '06 with a 4v Blown 4.6 rated
@420 hp. There are not sure if it will carry SVT or Shelby names.
There will be a GT500 Cobra in '08 with a 4v blown 5.4 rated
@500 hp.
A fully loaded GT will be around $27.5k and the same car in a
convertible will be only $2500 more or around $30k.
The car had the 18" chrome rims. I asked about:
18" rims late availability? The product specialist knew of no late availabilty with these rims.
Stripes ? No production lemans stripes planned.
Was Car lowered for the show? "no that is what you'll get
in production"
I am not so sure how much he really knew because he also
stated it has "a 3:53 rear-end gear ratio".

Guess what if you say its a Svt or if you say its a Shelby you know which one will be respected even if both cars are identical. Ford is in the car selling business remember.

I talked to that same guy at the show. He was kind of a twit, but he was very confident about what he was talking about. He told me that the next offering from SVT as far a the Cobra is concerned will not wear a Cobra badge at all. It will be simply a GT350 and GT500, respectively. The Cobra badge is only going to be worn by the new Shelby Cobra (the newer concept version that was shown at Detroit) that he said was definitel going to be produced. And, while I really like the new Shelby, I think that sucks. Who knows. Perhaps he was full of it, I guess we'll all have to wait and see.
