I ordered a new roush tensioner to replace my oem tensioner. I swap the pulley and the oem cobra pulley doesn't set all the way down onto the new roush tensioner. Is this right? Do I need to add washers between the engine and back of the 3 tensioner bolts? The oem has a .4195" shaft for the pulley to attach to and the roush is only .2825".

Sounds like only the shaft is different height.

What matters is the pulley relation to the block.

Set both tensioners on a flat surface.

Place the pulley on each one and measure from the table to the top of the pulley.

Take not of any oddities on the back of the tensioner that may throw measurement off
