Hi all! I'm new here sorry.
I've had a 2015 Mustang for a couple months, I'm the original owner. I've been having issues with my car especially today with the freezing cold weather that prevents me from going reverse.
Today it was 10 degrees outside so I went into my car and started it up and the car made a funny noise while starting up so I thought something might be wrong. It was like a grinding noise but I didn't think too much of it I think it was because it was so cold. So I put the car in reverse and look at my screen, the screen was fogged up I couldn't see in the screen, so I got out of the car and looked at the lens and it was frozen over. So I couldn't go in reverse because I couldn't see anything in the monitor. I tried backing up but I have a really tight driveway so i wasn't able to get out of my driveway so I was stuck today. So I went and got my gf's hairdryer and melted the ice away and it helped and I was able to back up and leave to go to work.
Is there anything you guys do that prevents something like this happening? Why did Ford place the camera in such a bad spot where it will do this? Its such an inconvenience.
Just looking for suggestions since its going to be cold all week and I need to be able to drive the car or should I take the issue up with the dealership since the car is still under warranty? Thanks!
