my wife really likes the '15 mustang looks(if it looks like the drawings)
and I would trade my 12 for one.
will I be better off returning my car completely back to factory?
or
sell on my own?
or
hope the dealer will give me some boot for the mods?

if I sell the car on my own, should I return to stock and then sell the parts?

so many options. I just don't want to loose my ass.

If you trade it in you need to remove all the mods. Not only will the dealer not give you more because your car has mods, they will actually (rightfully) use that against you and offer you less money for your car.

That is why I have kept every single item I've removed from my car. I added all my stuff up yesterday and I will realistically be able to get 3400 (I have a lot of things that aren't listed in my sig) for all my my used aftermarket parts. There is no way I would get 3k more then what my car is worth because of my mods even if I were selling private party

I'm in the business. This is true.

The only thing the dealer cared about and gave me more money on the car for when I traded mine in, was exterior mods. The headlights, grill, boss/cs fascia and boss splitter, tailights, and rims.

Everything else I put back to stock and what I didn't wanna keep I sold.

If you have big name parts people buy often, they are EASY to sell.

I want to see one in person first.
Gotta get rid of the 12 first.
So if I leave the rims.tint.grilles and halos I could get alittle more?
I have the luguna seca gauge kit on my dash. Cant remove cause there will be a hole. Same with the pillar gauges. I have some interior parts painted kona blue also.

My car went from 7xxhp on e85 to like 417hp in like 2 days lol. I wasn't gonna try to get my money back out of my car by trading it in. By the time I do the trade the car will be all stock except for the drop springs which I don't care about.

Return to stock, sell the car on your own and sell your old aftermarket parts as new aftermarket parts come out for the '15.

Definitely de-mod and sell the parts! You should be able to get around $2-3k more than the dealer would give you selling on your own; however, I'm sure you know this, but you will save on taxes big time trading, getting taxed on the difference between the trade and cost of the new car. Selling on your own may not be worth hassle.
