Maybe a coating failing?

If it's quiet, runs smooth and doesn't smoke, I'd send it. Cautiously.

It’s runs extremely smooth and doesn’t smoke that I’ve been able to tell but I’ve really let it idle and one short trip around the block.

I plan to start tuning it with Kevin Dunn soon so, I guess I’ll find out soon enough!

Unknown. Previous owner said around 10k. No way to verify.

I’m going to send it and see how it reacts to the tuning process.

I’ve ordered a new t56 magnum so once that gets here I’ll really start digging into to this thing. I plan to drop the motor and have everything powder coated that can be. Timing cover/valve covers kmember ect ect ect.

I today I filled it up for the first time and drove it to the DMV to get it registered. The longest trip I’ve taken it on so far and it did good. No crazy issues! Also sprayed it off and removed the horrendous plastidip trunk panel. I won’t really be too concerned with the cleanliness off the car until I get most of the work done to it.

So for now it’s time to tune it and wait for the magnum to get here.

I'm kind of in the same dilemma with powder coating everything when I go to swap heads. I would love to mimic what Phil Harpell engine bay and make it my own (LOVE all black engine bays). The more and more I think about it now, I wonder if I should just it in its stock configuration. I do want to powdercoat the factory kmember/front suspension parts when motor is out.

As I was getting ready for the tuning process I had to install a SCT firewire. Well in typical "while your in there fashion" I decided to switch up the gauge set up. Currently the car has a screwed in dual pillar pod with a innovate AFR and a roush boost gauge. Looked terrible and I planned to switch it up anyway.

Placed an order for an AEM wideband, Dual Aero force gauges, a hilton boost overlay and a stickitdesigns overlay for the AEM wideband. Also some interior paint from LMR to get the pods to look OEM.

Kevin told me to go with the ballenger but I got a good deal on the AEM so I rolled with it.

I have a dual pod gauge mounts into the vent on the driver side that looks very similar to a SOS pod (thanks to whoever posted that on here). I also have a dual cluster bezel that I've had for a long time that I may use.

I don't really want a ton of gauges so I may do the AFR and one of the Aeroforce for now. Once I figure out what other type of gauge I need/want, I'll run the Aeroforce in the dual cluster bezel and the AFR and the unknown gauge in the vent pod.

The magnum should be here before Christmas, Things should escalate quickly once that arrives. The pile of parts I have is getting out of control LOL. Project cars are fun.

I'm struggling with the color scheme I want to do. I've always done black. Black is simple and looks really good. Especially with polished accents. But I've really been wanting to do something different. Maybe for ford blue valve covers. idk, I'll have to make a split decision when the time comes.

Those boost overlays are really cool. I like gauges, I had Lunars in my last two cobras but I'm trying HARD not to put gauges in my current car. I bought the car with the cluster pod and dual aeroface gauges but sold them and put stock piece back in. Probably going to ditch the aem wideband after I already had stickitdesign cut me a silver face layover for it to match factory ha. Ready to watch it be restored.
