I never had an voltage issues when I ran mine. But when I was talking to him about replacing the bearing in it he had mentioned there were people out there that had issues.

When I took it off to have it repairs I just decided to go with the J2FAB 300A just incase.

Not saying you would have problems, just something to be mindful of.
Was this recently? I had my KMJ250 short out in october. I run dual 465's and a rule 2k pump and a DOB POWA pump. total amps between those 4 are north of 100 amps. He never said anything about this being an issue when I sent it back to him for repair.

As a side note JS alternators makes one for the cobras also. Theirs are a hairpin style also. I have been talking to them about my uses and they recommened alternator rpm at 20k max. With my 4lb lower they want a 3in pulley.

It was years ago. I put in the J2FAB unit in 2019-2020 time frame.

What was the set up that required to you to run the rule and the DOB pump?

I have all the normal intercooler stuff. trunk tank-DOB super single-VMP core. 1in lines blah blah blah. the rule 2k feeds the powa pump. The rule2k was added as I was getting a ton of aeration in the system. Then found that with the return at the top of the tank causing a lot of turbulence in the tank and aeration issues. I corrected the return and never removed the rule pump. I do see an increase in flow with it vs without so I havent had a need to remove it.

I'm currently running a 250amp alt from JS Alternator as well with great success!

It’s be awhile since I’ve updated this post.

Nothing has changed. But I have started to stock pile parts for the end goal build. Recently I’ve purchased

-teksid block
-Kellogg crank
-03/04 rods
-2.3 VMP

I’ve been driving the car quite a bit the last few days and I’ve made the decision to drive the car as is (even with the bad reverse t56) until I have the new long block set up and ready to go. At that point I’ll put in a new motor, new blower and magnum. Maybe a year from now, maybe 2. We’ll see how quickly I can get it done.

Short term plans
-brakes
-subframe connectors
-front suspension
-wheels
-custom interior

Here is a photo dump!

After a little break, I have started messing with the cobra again.

I have custom interior being made. They will be stock style seats with a matte carbon weave insert and orange stitching.

Also ordered a new steering wheel from AZA auto wheel. It will look just like this wheel but with black stitching. My OEM wheel is cracked and in terrible shape. A touch of carbon fiber should tie it all together once I get the carbon piece installed in the exterior.

Because I had the dark insert seats I decided to trade a friend for his beat up gray inserts. I didn’t want to pull the skins off of these when everything was in great shape besides the driver seat. Ordered new foam from TMI for the drivers seat.

Anyway, only seat left in the car is the drivers seat while I wait for the skins to show up.

The interior upgrade also spark a fuel system rewire. I had to cut the power wire to get the rear seat out and since then the car isn’t running right. Relays are getting super hot. I’ve ordered the lethal relay box set up. Figure I might as well do this to make it much cleaner back there.

And finally, I put some polished CCW SP500 wheel on the car. They look so much better than the stock looting satin wheels. Need to adjust the ride height a smidge, but overall pretty happy with the look.

I would also like to know who did your seats! I'm looking forward to see your update with the seat covers on and in the car! :)

Who is doing those seats? I love the sp500s!!! With the polished wheels, would you consider un-tinted taillights?
Still looking for a set of ambers, but no luck yet. I can't do the solid red. I prefer the tinted over solid red.

Kevin Brosch is doing the interior. He did a similar set for me when I had the DSG car and they turned out great. I'm excited to see what these look like when they are all finished. Also swapping the shifter/ebrake boots to match the carbon weave inserts.

Seats look really good. Wonder if he makes shifter boots.

Yeah man. He can make whatever you can think of. He is doing the shift boots for me as well
I have carbon leather with white stitching on my shifter, e-brake, center console lid, and the sun visors. They look really good IMO.

Your seats are going to look awesome. My seats are in really good condition so I wouldn’t even think of swapping them out.

Installed the Lethal Performance “the box” pump controller. The kit is pretty nice and plug and play. The only issue I had was the connector doesn't fit the division X hat that I have. So I had to repin and use the old connector.

I attempted to pull the car out of the drive way to see if this fixed my fueling issue, but turns out my wheels are rubbing on the coil overs........ So I decided to order more suspension stuff since I'm not sure how old these dampers are.

Ordered
-b6 bilstiens struts/shocks
-MM rear coil over kit 525lb/in
-New 8in 325lb/in springs (this should give me the clearance I need.

I didn't really want to drop 1500 on this stuff right now, but the car needs it. I'll also have the MM subframes welded on when I do this work.
