You should pull the tips in a couple inches on the white car before your cut you knee caps off lol

btw what size rear tire on the OW?
It looks worse than it really is due to the angle. Besides magnaflow has always been strange with their tips. 305/35/18 Mickey Thompson

Gotcha, love Magnaflow tips, mine sit near flush with bumper.

Those tires fit nicely. I hate the bead of my nittos.

I have tons of rattles and it feels like I hit a massive pot hole any time I run over a bump lol.
I'm looking forward to what you plan to do outside of the normal deadening material. Every looking into Resonix?

I havent really thought about doing any sound deadening yet. That may be something I consider when I redo the interior.

I def need to do new shocks/struts first and bushings throughout. I wanted to do all of that when I pull the motor but I don't know if I could wait that long. Its pretty bad.

Nate, why did you decide on the Mechman 240 alternator?

I’m in the market for an alternator. Between Nations, Mechman and KMJ - I cannot decide.

It was recommended to me by a friend that is running it with success. I've never ran it so I figured I'd give it a try.

I've had a KMJ (still on my shelf) and the bearing started squeeking like crazy and Ken also told me that he has had issues when people are running dual 465s and an EMP. He said he would replace it, but I haven't messed with it.

I never really considered Nations but I almost went with big daddy J2FAB set up again (ran it on my Sonic). The only reason I didn't is because you never know if you are going to get his stuff in a week or 6 months.

I don't really have a technical reason why I chose the Mechman but it seems to be up to the task so far. I'm seeing 14v+ all the time and during a pull it is dipping to 13.5v~. supporting dual 465 pumps and the EMP pump for the IC system.

I have a mechman as well, they make alternators for all kinds of crazy shit, like race cars or super high end audio systems.

I guess while I'm here I should provide an update on the car.

Tuning is finished. Kevin sent over the final revision to the tune and said everything looks great. Car pulls hard and is running really well. He was able to finish the tune with only 5 revisions and that included the base tune and the final tune where he added a degree of timing. I thought that was pretty impressive.

Very excited the motor held up to repeated pulls and that is a HUGE relief as it was my biggest worry when buying the car. If I can get 1-2 years out of this motor I'll be pretty happy. I do want to build something on the side but I'm going to beat the brakes of this thing until it gives up.

I don't have much planned for the car until I decide to pull the motor and install the magnum. I wanted to get it running good so I can enjoy it as much as possible while the weather is nice here in Florida. I do want to do new shocks/struts and I may go ahead and do the XTS brake set up and rear 13in FTBR kit in the mean time.

Also a new set of wheels that I'll be getting next week.

I have a KMJ on my car (previous owner) I guess I ought to check my voltage as well enough no EMP pump just to see.

I never had an voltage issues when I ran mine. But when I was talking to him about replacing the bearing in it he had mentioned there were people out there that had issues.

When I took it off to have it repairs I just decided to go with the J2FAB 300A just incase.

Not saying you would have problems, just something to be mindful of.

Yeah I wasn’t even considering J2FAB because I’ve heard that stuff about them.

I’ll give the Mechman a try. Where did you buy yours from? I’m not seeing the wiring upgrade on Mechman or Lethals website.
