I have a Magnaflow catted x-pipe and at least one of the cats is bad. It sounds like a bunch of marbles rattling around in a coffee can.

Anybody had to replace the cats on their x-pipe?

Magnaflow says I can order the cats from them for about $200 not including shipping. I have'nt got a price yet on the labor. I'm not sure if they have to be cut out. I'm wondering if it would be more cost effective to just get a used uncatted/catted x-pipe and call it a day.

There is a guy trying to sell a used Magnaflow catted x for $250+ shipping right now in the marketplace. I personally would go catless if you can. I was looking to add cats to my car to help quiet it down but I read about cat failures in the GT500 section and figured If I want a quiet car I'll do it with mufflers.
