Ok, so my original leather is getting pretty worn, and I would like to switch to black as well. My question is has anyone ever torn there old upholstery apart and used it as a pattern to make new ones. I am not about to pay 900 dollars for replacement seat covers. Is it that hard. My mom has a sewing machine, but I am not sure if it is heavy duty enough to stitch leather. I have looked at used seats in the market here, but they are still pretty expensive (usually have some wear too). I wouldn't mind being able to say that I made them myself as well.

Have to agree with the above:lol:.

FWIW ... everybody has a sewing machine! You need an upholstery duty machine - plus some experience in upholstery. It's not quite like sewing a button on, or putting a patch on your blue jeans.

Well, with all that degrading stuff out of the way LOL (jk):banana::banana: ...
there are always some varying colors of replacement seat covers on E-Bay, and there are some places on the Internet that specialize in replacement covers - I'll look for the URL. I have seen Cobra specific (color) covers on E-Bay before, and they were asking $400 - 500 (I believe) for the front seats (set).

You don't want to go cheap on this one. Just have to shop around - Look in the Market Forum, too.

Good luck. :banana::beer::banana:

All I coul find, immediately, was http://shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_fromZR46?_nkw=Mustang+seat+covers&_fromfsb=0&_trksid=m270.l1313 ... on E-Bay.
