Red Paint Code on 99 Cobra??

So according to the numbers that svt sent me with my certificate they made 608 red convertibles with tan interior and a tan top. My exterior paint code shows E8, according to svt they were paint code E9, so what color do you have and why would my car not match svt numbers.

There is E8, which is "Rio Red" and "Vermillion Tricoat Red" . They're both the same color.

Then there is E9, which is "Laser red" and looks completely different.

So were all the cobras the bright red or the maroon looking color??

My paperwork says there were 608 E9 cobras built but has no mention of the E8 numbers. Wonder if they were all counted together.

99 only had rio red (aka Vermillion). There was no other red available on 99 cobras.

The 99' SVT Cobra only came in E8 "Rio Red" AKA "Vermillion Red"

The 01' SVT Cobra only came in ES "Performance Red" and E9 "Laser Red".

Also when I called SVT (1-800-FORD-SVT) a while back they said they couldn't give you the number of colors built except for Mystichrome. In fact, my SVT cert only says xx built of XXXX,,mentions nothing of color..
