Planning on going with Bassani catted X pipe and Stingers (I think the combo sounds badass). For the bassani midpipe, tho, can only fit short headers or stock manifold (I think). I thought the BBK short headers would work but apparently that's only for the GT. What do you guys recommend?

I bounced around this idea as well but at the end of the day, I felt the questionable power gain wasn't worth the risk of having any leaks in the future.

I ran an o/r x bassani with magnaflow, and stock manifolds. sounded amazing.

since then went to mac long tubes, lethal o/r x, with the same magnaflows.

Well I was just wondering what people used, but I'm gonna stick with the stock ones. What midpipe you got?
I have stock manifolds, Mac Prochamber and stingers.

my car is strictly a street car that may hit the occasional show, I have Kooks long tubes that are mostly for looks. but if I were to do it again I would do ceramic coated stock manifolds.

Some go with LTs more for the sound than for power gains. Shorty headers are a waste of money, as already stated. Unless you're wanting LTs, the Bassani mid-lengths are the logical choice with your Bassani X-pipe. I'd probably lead towards the Bassani mid-length as a "best" compromise between factory and LTs, but sticking with the factory manifolds isn't a bad choice.

@03' White Snake, how do you like the sound of your setup compared to factory manifolds?

Leave the combo how you have it.

I had Full Bassani on my first Cobra and fought leaks like crazy! NOT WORTH IT!

I eventually yanked them and went with BBK long tubes but on my current car, I have a Bassani ORX and Borla Stinger catback and the sound is perfect.

I like it. I run the remflex gaskets, used a 2x4 to tap the collector onto the bottom of the header pipes and I have no leaks. I removed all the factory studs and replaced them with bolts too. I have no issues pulling the transmission, bell housing or anything off with the headers installed. I can pull the motor out the top with the headers installed.

My brothers cobra has Bassani X-pipe and the cheaper Bassani cat back. My car has the Mid-Lengths, SS X-pipe and SS CB and there is definitely a difference in how they sound.

The one thing that is a PITA, if you buy a used set, you need to make sure the small collector pipes are included to attach to the X-Pipe. It took me months of searching to finally find a set when I bought my headers used. Live and learn though.
