Terminator with owned 20+ years, 36K, bone stock and is going to stay that way. Time to replace the clutch. Do I go OEM or something else?

Mine is bone stock too. I chose a SPEC Stage 1 with low pedal effort option. At bit of chatter but I am still breaking it in. The SPEC has a higher horsepower rating than most other Stage 1 level brands as most of those have a power rating lower than the power of the stock engine.

The land of commies and socialists!
if avail i would go oem, if not just about anything with organic material on both sides

edit: iirc valeo made the oem pp so id start there

Pretty sure Valeo made the O.E. clutches for Ford. They made clutches for damn near everyone back then.

$220 on Rock Auto right now. Definitely the route I would if I was looking for stock.

What I like about Valeo is it seems like they don't change the part after they stop supplying the O.E. manufacturer to make it cheaper. Minus maybe a Ford parts number missing you're probably still getting the O.E. clutch.

A long time ago I ordered a stock 04 Cobra clutch to run in my 01 Cobra. On one side it had the Ford part number. On the other side it had the Valeo part number.

It doesn't seem like you put a lot of miles on it. If you did I'd suggest going with something like the Spec mentioned above just to make driving it more enjoyable. But if you're happy with the stock clutch there's no reason to change.

I really like the stock clutch - I'm around 300k on the original clutch and flywheel with a mildly modded car (I did all the mods at around 5k).

I'm 99% sure Valeo 52802015 (e.g., Rock Auto) is the OEM replacement because it crosses exactly to Valeo's website for an 03/04 SVT and they made the original.
