I was thinking of just getting forged rods & pistons & reusing the stock block & crank, figured I would get machine shop to balance rotating assemble but what has to be done to the block? Can it be bored or honed? Or does it have to have new sleeves put in it?

It can be bored .005 or .010. Manley states that is the most you can really go on those blocks. It absolutely must be done with a torqe plate.

If the motor isn't hurt and your bores are in good shape you can de-glaze them and stay with standard sizing on the pistons.

As already mentioned, you don't have much to work with on these blocks.
