I have removed and change my springs and shocks several times but needing some clarification. Which way should the end of the lower pigtail (lower open end) face, does it make a difference?

The lower bushing in the shocks sticks out more on one side, should that go against the mounting surface or face outward and are there supposed to be washers on both sides--one side---or not at all?

The pigtails start where the emergency brake bracket is on the LCA. That is the low point on the LCA.

Also, as there is no left or right wound spring, one side will climb up the LCA spring cup, and the other will "climb" down the LCA spring cup. Leave a bit of play between the silicone cup and the start of the spring pigtail. You can wedge a wide BFS blade between the two until the tension is enough to hold that position, and wedge a BFS into the coil for the other side.

Q: Are you asking about the lower shock eye bushings??
