Rear questions

I am going to be ordering ford racing 3:73's for my 13. Is it worth doing axles or anything else while having it apart. My plans for the car is mostly a weekend car with occasional trips to the strip. I just don't want to over build it if not necessary. Thanks

If its any help, I spoke with the SVT mechanic at the dealership who seemed very knowledgable and he felt the 3.73 didnt require any other changes to the stock set up. The hardest thing to get used to is much on the 13/14 GT500 is already "modded".

The gears get installed next Monday, cant wait.

Guys have bent axles and busted differentials running stock after a couple of hard launches. It would be a good idea while they're in there doing the gears to upgrade diff. to a Truetrac 33 spline and moser axles 33 spline with 9" welded ends.

The performance pack comes with a TORSEN limited-slip rear differential.

From what I read, it seems good for anything unless your going to be running on a drag strip often.
