I have never installed one but my friend (01 Cobra) installed his behind the consol infront of the shifter. He just spliced a wire into a blue/white wire (cigarett power port bellow the radio) and bingo! It looked damn simple and clean install!

Seem like alot of work?
I've installed a couple of these and it is fairly simple (much easier than installing the Abott ERA). The instructions make it look more tedious than necessary.

In short, you swap the two wires from your stock speed sensor connector with those from the SpeedCal, then tap into the cigarette lighter circuit (for power) using the supplied scotch lok connector. That's it. No cutting or splicing.

BTW, the SpeedCal harness is long enough to allow positioning the unit on the passenger side of the radio/cd console, tucked under the edge of the carpet. That makes it readily accessible (while still out of sight) without the need to remove the shift boot bezel.
