Last week I noticed a "clunk" noise coming from the rear of the truck. It sounds like loose shock or spring shackle. I went over to the Ford-Trucks forum to search for possible rear end issues and found a possible cause. One member had a simular problem that ended up being an axle C clip issue which was allowing too much end play in the axle. I jacked the rear up, removed the tire and caliper and found the left axle had about .015 of movement. I'll have to get a repair manual and check the specs. Just wandering if any of you had heard of or experienced a simular problem? I posted a simular thread over on FTE. My truck is a 2005 F150 XLT, 4.6L, reg cab, LWB, daily driver. Thanks.....RD
