Rear Brakes

I noticed today that my front brakes have a cover on the calipers that says "cobra" but the rears do not. Is it just my car or did they leave them off of the back (and why?)?:shrug:

They only come on the front

Good question. A better question is why did they use rear pads that are made of what seems like black charcoal:bash:
