Not really an update, but, here is something I worked on yesterday.

Since I have never had a car this new before, and always envied the cars that had all documentation with them, I figured I'd start. I put this binder together and inside I have the original window sticker, original SRT paper, even all the original owners manuals still in the plastic. I want to document every receipt I have ever spent on this car as well as all maintenance records.

I ordered my rear wheels. I ended up going with Factory Reproductions in 10.5" w/ 25mm offset. They're coming in Tuesday. Hopefully Wednesday or Thursday I can mount the new rear meats. Mickey Thompson E/T Streets in a 305/35/20. Can't wait!

Also, the flares are painted and the bumper should be done this week as well. I couldn't stand having plate holes so I figured I'd just have the bumper done.

Also, made my appointment for Clear Bra for 2/26/18.

They still need to be buffed. This was right after they were sprayed.

A little bit of an update.

The fender flares and front bumper are painted. I will be getting them back tomorrow and installing them tomorrow evening. Tuesday morning my buddy is coming over to paint correct all the areas of the car that will be covered in clear bra. On 3/26 the clear bra will be installed and then the car will go to my buddy for him to finish the correction and do the ceramic coating etc.

My rear wheels came in. Factory Reproductions 20x10.5" w/ 25mm.

I also ordered new tires. Toyo Proxy R888R 305/35/20.

I have 1" spacers for the fronts but do not want to use them. I purchased 2 more 20x10.5" wheels that I am going to run in the front with a Toyo Proxy R888R 285/35/20. Hopefully the wheels with that tire work ok for the front. We'll see....

Hopefully I'll have some nicer pictures of the car out in the sunlight later this week. It's coming together slowly but surely.

I also ordered quad exhaust tips. I plan on purchasing the Borla S Type Catback which doesn't come with tips. I am going to mount them to my factory exhaust for measuring (I believe it'll require a little trimming) and then I am going to have them powder coated black.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone!

Some pretty good updates so far.

So, first and foremost, the front bumper is back on the car and it came out great. I am beyond happy with the work. Here are some install pics. I took my father's 1961 Cadillac 62 series out of the garage to let it run and snapped some pics of the two as well.

Next,

I finally had the PPF installed on the car. Before doing so I had my buddy come to my place and paint correct all of the areas of the car that are receiving PPF to ensure it looks as good as it possibly could. I ended up going with a company that used 3M material instead of XPEL. I must say, they did an outstanding job. I had the entire hood, both front fenders, front bumper, mirrors, on top and under door handles, a strip down the side of the car, and the entire rear bumper done. I was lucky enough to go to my buddy's house who has a Sublime Hellcat to get the work done as he had some more PPF done to the car. Once again, the work came out great and I am extremely happy with everything.

Now an important piece of the puzzle...the fender flares...

I thought long and hard about running wheel spacers and I just couldn't do it. I don't feel safe. So I went the expensive route....I'm happy and sad about it lol.

I ended up ordering one off custom forged wheels. I am going to keep it a secret what I got, but it will be a 20x10.5" front and 20x11" wheel in the back. Me, Bill from Phillips Performance and the wheel company put all of our heads together to make the perfect offset to sit flush with the fenders. I am beyond excited. I hope the car looks as great in person as I am envisioning it in my mind. I also ordered Toyo Proxy R888R tires, 285/35 in the front and 325/30 in the rear. With the wheel specs nothing should rub and it should all fit perfect. The wheels should be here the first week of May!

I still need to have my buddy finish the rest of the paint correcting on the car and ceramic coating. Once the wheels come in he is going to coat those as well.

Slowly but surely she's coming along. I also spent 4 hours at the DMV yesterday registering the car, and last night I ordered my vanity plates online. The first week of May is going to be an exciting one for this car. I'll keep the updates coming as they happen.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks guys. It's basically a waiting game at this point for parts. Hopefully April goes by quick!

Awesome bro!!! In for pics after the install.
Are you getting new wheels as well or mounting on the stockers?

These rear tires would never fit on the stockers. The rear tires are 325/30/20. I mentioned it previously, but I actually ordered custom forged wheels with a custom offset to work with the flares. 20x10.5 in the front and 20x11 in the rear. I'm not going to release any more info at the moment about them. I'm pumped! They should be here the first week of May.

Nice.
I remember now that you said that you got a custom one off set to fit with the flares. My bad. lol
I didn't think they would fit on the stockers. Looked way too meaty for them.
