Mommy! I found a big egg!

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities are investigating the discovery of what they confirm is a human skull found on Easter Sunday at a Long Beach park.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, a family came across the remains around 5 p.m. while taking part in an egg hunt at DeForest Park, which runs along the Los Angeles River and 710 Freeway.

No toilet paper for you!

A massive fire at a Kimberly-Clark (KBM) Southern California paper goods warehouse is pressuring shares on Tuesday as the blaze was seen engulfing nearly the entire 1.2 million square foot facility.

Very believable. Back in 1966 when I was a senior in high school, 4 schoolmates were in a 1964 GTO speeding on a long straight road along the ocean. They were probably doing 70-80mph. The driver lost control, flew in the air towards the beach and hit a large tree smack dab in the middle of the car's side. The crash caused the GTO to split completely into two pieces. The rear piece with two passengers ended up on the beach. There were NO serious injuries. This happened one block from where I lived. I still remember my shock when I saw the split-in-half GTO before it was towed away.

When Gaia DEI Marxists run your country.

Australian authorities have arrested and charged the country's most decorated living soldier, Ben Roberts-Smith, 47, with five war crime murders allegedly committed during the war in Afghanistan.

Another Aussyland gem.

Police are hunting modified cars - and taking them

Modifying cars might seem normal, but in some places it comes with serious consequences. In Australia, even small changes can lead to police shutting your car down instantly. A simple issue can result in losing registration, insurance, and the ability to drive it at all. Many cars end up off the road permanently because fixing them isn’t worth the cost. What seems like a harmless upgrade can quickly turn into a major problem.

Do you have a link for the 'Police are hunting modified cars' report?

Under new proposals tied to expanded animal welfare protections, boiling lobsters, crabs and octopuses alive will be banned as part of a broader crackdown on practices deemed inhumane . Ministers have made clear that live boiling is not considered an acceptable killing method and that guidance will be updated to reflect more humane alternatives .

The change follows the UK government’s decision to legally recognize certain invertebrates as sentient beings. In November 2021, lobsters, octopuses and crabs were formally included under the Animal Welfare (Sentience) framework, requiring policymakers to consider their welfare in future decisions.

I didn't link the story but in 1981, on a long stretch of road connecting two local towns, eight kids went to a party in the woods which shockingly involved drinking. Afterwards they proceeded to get into a '76 Cordoba (owned by one of the passenger's sis) and speed down this maybe mile or mile and a half road that always reminded me of a roller coaster. It starts straight and level and then dips like the hill on a coaster and then starts leveling out. When they leveled out, apparently the driver lost control, went through the guard rail and flew two hundred feet and landed in a gully. The car and mainly driving compartment, with eight kids inside, ended up being about two feet thick. After the bodies were removed, the car was buried.
