Man, that looks ugly. If engine is where it landed, prop probably got his head. Blood on the seat sorta confirms some impact.

I hit a shallow underwater terrace with a smaller runabout, 65 hp outboard.
It did kick the motor up, engine revved like crazy for an instance, then shut down.
Killed the prop, notched up the skeg.
I am sure speed overcame all of the hold points in that impact.
Surely makes you rethink running down the lake at 50 plus MPH.

Yea, for sure. I don’t own a boat, but could think of 20 ways to die while using one. That picture makes 21.
